Every few seconds
Live power flows instead of a five-minute cloud refresh, so automations react in time.
The Solarman app refreshes every few minutes and depends on a server in another country. MoniWatt for Deye reads your Deye inverter directly, every few seconds, on your own network.

Deye hybrid inverters, single-phase and three-phase, are installed in huge numbers across Europe, South Africa and beyond, and the same platform is also sold under other names. Out of the box, their data goes through a Wi-Fi logger to the Solarman cloud: you see it in an app with a delay, and if the cloud or your internet is down, you see nothing.
MoniWatt for Deye takes the local route. It connects to the inverter’s RS485 Modbus port and reads its registers directly: solar, battery, grid, load and the energy totals of the day. You get a screen next to the inverter, a dashboard on your phone over home Wi-Fi, and Home Assistant sensors that update every few seconds. It reads only; your inverter settings and your Solarman logger stay as they are.
Live power flows instead of a five-minute cloud refresh, so automations react in time.
PV1 and PV2 voltage and power, plus the day’s total production.
State of charge, power, voltage, current and temperature from the inverter’s battery side.
What you buy, what you sell, and the load of the house, from the inverter’s CT readings.
When the cloud or your connection is down, the local dashboard and Home Assistant keep running.
Work mode, time-of-use and charge settings stay exactly as your installer set them.
The dashboard shows the four flows of a hybrid system on one chart: panels, battery, grid and house. You see when the battery hits full and the surplus starts flowing to the grid, which is the exact moment to start the water heater or the EV charger. At night you see what the battery covers and what you still buy.
The optional remote dashboard keeps up to three years of history, independent of the Solarman portal.
The box answers GET /api.json on your network and publishes the same values over MQTT. Home Assistant, Jeedom, Node-RED or your own script read them directly, with no cloud round-trip.

Deye hybrids expose an RS485 Modbus port for monitoring, separate from the BMS port used by your battery and from the port of the Wi-Fi logger. The box plugs into it with an RJ45 cable and is powered over USB-C., colour screen.
It is built on the design of Pylon-Monitor, our Pylontech battery monitor, with an RS485 / CAN board and firmware that reads the Deye register map.
Each box is prepared and tested in France before it ships, by the team that makes Pylon-Monitor for Pylontech owners.
